side mirror heaters?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has changed/replaced their side mirror heaters before? I think mine are not warm enough to sufficiently defog my side mirrors.

Does anyone know if I have to replace the whole side mirror with the housing or can I just replace the "heater" itself and not the housing or mirror? Thanks.

you should only need to replace the glass. It had the heater built onto it

I think that is the whole housing plus everything inside it.

I think I'll just get the mirror if that is the heated part.

Does anyone know if the 97-99 CL 2.x-3.0 have the same side mirrors?

I called Acura and they have different part #s. To me all the side mirrors look the same? What gives?

yes they are different. the 3.0 has heated mirrors. which entails it has different glass from the 2.x and it has a different wiring harness (to include extra wiring for the heater)

But the actual housing is the same. internal's will be different.

How about 97, 98 and 99 CL 3.0? Are they different or the same both inside and out?

Has anyone ever taken out the side mirrors (not the housing)? Do I need any screw drivers or is it just popping out the mirror and popping in the new mirrors?

i've done it, but i dont have heated mirrors. all i did was stick a screw driver in and pry out the mirror, its held on by this little ball/joint in the middle of the mirror.
