Side door thingies.

Hey guys, i have rust coming out of the side door stoppers? bumpers? i'll probably have to remove them, repaint them, and fix the rust issue under it.

The thing is, i dont know how it is fixed on there? glue? snaps? screws? anybody knows? would be really appreciated.

And is it possibble to remove them completely? and putty the indent it creates?

Im scared we will still be able to see the indent with sun reflection and all.

Do you mean the trim piece on the outside of the door skin? If so it's held in by metal clips, if you mean a plastic/rubber piece on the very edge of the door, that's probably just glued.

Im talking about the outside of the door, the trim piece. Im going to post pics tomorow. Its pretty nasty rust spot. Damn previous owner, left me a dirty car to play with. :-(

So how should i remove it? maybe taking the interior door panel off, and inclip the clips?

there is one screw on the end of the trim where you open the door it's really easy to find.

open your door and look down to the trim height and you'll see it

how are the moldings on the rear held on? screws? or clips? do you have to take off the interior door skin to remove it?
