hey everyone first of all i have to say thank you for all the information all of u have given me this is my new favorite site. anyways i was on ebay and have seen over and over the MAC HP CHIP and the RAPID VELOCITY PERFORMANCE MODULE being sold for about $40 bucks claiming to give up to +20 Hp gains. is this true? does anyone have one?

 

I just looked it up... It says its a resistor... I'm not sure what that means but after reading some of the negative comments... I wouldn't waste your money

Yeah, this falls into the category of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." There is no magical chip that you can get for $40 that will give you anywhere near 20hp. If you're strapped for cash, you're better off trying to buy a used intake for around $40-$60 and at least you'll get a REAL gain. Granted, it'll only be 5-10hp at most, but it's better than wasting your money on something that will do nothing.

The reason for Klepto's response is because many people have thought about these fad type things and/or posted threads about them. If you use the search function for this or the turbonator (among other things), you'll find a bunch of wasted threads referencing these types of products.

 

All these do is leave your car at open throttle and screw with your comp levels, waste of time and money search please
