Hey rodxx,

It was the camber kit for me. I've been messing around with it and so took a can of silicone spray and sprayed directly into the rubber bushings. OK, that worked for a few hours but when it dried back to the sqeaks again. The clunk I still haven't figured out yet but hopefully I'll find it.

Anyhow, take the camber kit off and put some heavy grease through them and see if that helps. Also, this might be a risk and add more to the clunk but loosen the 4 horizontal anchor bolts a bit loosening up the rubber bushings. I believe the real cause may be that the bushings are rubbing up against the control arm and therefore you get the squeak squeak no matter what. And spraying a lubricant may simply aid a bit but after a little bit, since it's rubbing the spray may dry off and it squeaks again.

My point is it's the friggin' camber kit. Have to move on to the ball joint type folks. Like the following:

or

Peace.

When I had my front Ingalls camber kit installed, the inner fender interferred with the movement of the suspension. The ball joint (not really the ball joint but the upper arm where the ball joint mounts) contacted the inner fender and need to be cut and pounded (the inner fender, not the ball joint). A tell tail sign is shinny metal where the upper-arm is contacting. This may solve the clunking noise that some of you are noticing.

As for the squeeking and the creaking... I'm still trying to figure mine out...I though the rubber bushing versions weren't going to squeek?

I've had a low-speed squeak ever since I installed my springs & struts. I'm guessing it's the seat where the bottom of the spring sits. I'm gonna spray the shit out of that area with some lithium grease to see if it fixes the noise.

Mine was the camber kit too. Offset pivot mounts. The poly bushings for the upper A arm squeaked.

Hey folks,

I had a major consistant squeak in my right rear KYB AGX shock since Monday, after my car dropped from about a foot high when my car jack suddenly collapsed.

I don't know if this fast drop caused damaged to the shock but I believe it is now blown. So all I'm saying is, and I think someone else mentioned, that it may just as well be the shock. Have it checked out. It's sorta embarassing when everyone looks at you because of the squeaks, if you know what I mean!!!

If it's not the shock I'm still sticking to the theory that it's the camber kit bushings.

Until next time. I'll do some more meticulous investigation and keep you all updated!!!

I like the progress we are getting, so we've come to a conclusion that it is the Camber kit. I have ingalls intalled, and on my right front side is where the noise is coming from i hate it. I'll try that grease thing.

I was thinking of just bring my car in to a Suspension Specialist here in MIami and they do there own camber kit by welding. I was hesitant because i wanted the option of raising the car again, but every one with lowered cars goes to them. Ferrari's, Mercedes thats been lowered. So ima think of doing that.

Miami Chassis doesnt weld on our cars, they fix camber issues without welding.

Well, I sprayed the hell out of my squeaky spring/strut w/ lithium grease last night and it didn't help. In fact, my squeak is starting to get worse. I don't have a camber kit so it can't be that... I guess it's time to take it into the shop. Oh well.

Hey - my last post was a little premature. The squeaking went away after two days of driving. If you're squeaking, buy some lithium grease and spray that stuff where the springs sit on the struts. It comes in a spray can w/ a straw like WD-40, so you can direct the spray pretty well.

You need to becareful in what you spray. Some lubes are not compatable with rubber (stock bushings)... it will eat up the material in the near future.
