seriously...new bumper

I got side swiped about a week ago and so we filed a claim.

the bitch denyed everything, even though i had all her insurance information... so now my insurance company is goin to fix it. They said it wont effect my insurance rate as long as it is under 1800. Being that im a 17y/o male this would make a big difference.
Im trying to get as much done by myself to avoid having to pay too much so..

My front corner light on the driver side was popped out and when i tried to put it back in the part on the bumper where the clip clips on to is broken. Not completely, but to the point where the corner light wont stay in.

Does anyone have any advice of a way to fix this without replacing the whole front bumper!!??!!??!

Thanks a bunch

1800 should cover a new front bumper, paint and install

^^that wasnt sexist at all

see if you can find a replacement bracket online, then just replace it and your golden. if not, you can use duct tape and be silver

^well if she's just saying that it wasn't her fault, then that would make sense, they have to prove that it was hers.
assuming right now, it's just your story and her story...no witnesses etc..
But if she's saying that the accident didn't happen in the first place, then that is total BS

the way to avoid this in the future, is if you get hit, get the person to sign a statement saying that they hit you and accept 100% responsibility for the accident.
this way they can't try and bs theirselves out of the situation later

You could reenforce that bumper with fiberglass, that should work if it's just the bracket that holds the corner in, the only issue would be the compressed spring, depending on what part is weakened

I think he's talking about the clip on the outside corner of the turn signal light that clips onto the bumper. I'm not sure how to fix that though... Bondo?

i broke both my clips when the screws holding my ambers rusted into place and i was swapping them for my ambers. i just drilled in an inch long screw through the backside of the bumper into the housing.. its barley noticeable unless your really looking for it, and its worked perfectly fine for the pastt 4 months.

well i did that ^^ for the inside clip.. for the outside, you could just bend a metal flange to the same size and shape as the plastic pre-molded peice and screw that to the side of it.
