RIP to my CL

Sorry to say guys but someone rear ended me 2 weeks ago. Got the call about to 2 days ago. TOTALED ...The damage wasnt really noticeable, it was the frame. The rear end frame was bent. I drove it for about a week after the crash but insurance company came to see it and decided it was gonna cost too much to fix. So Im getting a check for it.

What do you guys think I should go with now?
Should I stick with Same Model and Generation?
Go with 2nd Generation?
Or just move on?

Let me know what you guys think.

Im Heated :angryfire . I spent over 5k in the last year and almost had it how i wanted it and now this.

that sucks dude...do whatever floats your boat. if you get another CL, take as much as you can out of your crashed one.

i'd go second gen myself, if my baby ever got totalled.

Move on if you could afford a better car. Just don't downgrade like most of us that loose our CLs...

All depends on what you had done to it, if you had a bunch of parts that you could switch over to another 1st gen CL, buy one of them. Otherwise, I'd get a 2nd gen type S

not like you contribute much to the site yourself. stop being a take a chill pill.

Sorry about your CL bro. Mine wasn't the same after it got rear ended. They oversprayed my suspension, did a bondo rust repair for 220$, painted only the rear lip while leaving all other black and didnt match the paint to my door and trunk. Go for a CLS 6 if you can.

yeah its a big thhing when you lose a car. like if i ever lost mine i would post a thread too. just like everyone else on this board. we have all grown this attachment to our cars.

anyway thats fucked up hommie. sorry to hear that. but if you liked the CL you should probably move upwards. hahah. something faster. but if youre a die hard fan. get anything but a 3.0......man i hear more and more about my tranny and i get scared.

Yea thats what im scare about(transmission) I had a rebuilt transmission on mines.
I had a rubuilt trasmission
New radiator
new starter
new battery
new water pump
new timing belts.
i sent the receipts for all of those things in to the insurance company but they only gave me $800 more all that stuff...
the only thing i took off was the battery and the headunit i put on it(kenwood dpx501)
I was trying to find some wack tires to take the stock rims off but couldnt find any tires..

sexy time indeed.....i was looking for one before i bought the accord, but the 6-speeds are hard to find since they only made them for 1 yr. and most of them had high mileage. the lowest mileage i could find was 60k and that was $17k........

get it. the updated styling on the type s is ass imo. the extra 15hp isn't worth the price premium either.
