Rims + Drop = Problem?

What's up everyone.

Quick question. I'm thinking seriously about getting a TEIN S. Tech spring drop:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEIN-...spagenameZWD1V

Here's the thing. I know with the stock wheels I should have no problem, but how about with my 18" RonJon Servos? Anyone have a similar dilemma...any rubbing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Don't buy tein S.Techs on eBay.... most of the ones sold on eBay are counterfeits http://www.tein.com/counterfeit/warning.html
I am dropped on Genuine Tein S.Techs on my stockers and I have no problems... for bigger wheels I have no idea...

Depends on what series (thickness) tire you're looking for

you bought servo's for the 1g? I love the way his wheels look on the 2nd gen TL/CL and 3rd gen TL, but those servo's just dont do it for me personally.

However, as far as your question goes, you shouldnt have too many problems. they're 18x7.5 correct? What's the wheel offset?

uhhh...

stechs will drop you probably like... 1.5 inches.

i dont think you'll even get close to tire.

and for the love of god, stop putting 18s on CLs.

TOO BIG!

then all you can run is those little rubber band tires which blow for handling.

i guess it's all preference.

oh, btw, i might be back in the CL game soon nigguhs

True, I think you can get away with 40 or 45 series tires

I've been going back and forth from 17's to 18's, but i think 17's are just too small

Yeah, I just realized I might have contradicted myself, lol.

If (when ) I get another CL, plans are gonna be simple, drop, lip, rims, and the rims I absolutely must have are rare in 17s.

so i might have to go with 18s

tires for 15s on my teg are so much easier on my wallet tho

i run my 19s with absolutely no problems. I will say that the one disadvantage is a little more tire noise, but I will also say that I have blown up the tollway at 135+ and the car handled so good i couldnt believe it. And that is with stock suspension. Also, you barely need to drop a CL with big wheels, I sold my coilovers because the drop i put it at was so minimal it wasnt worth the decrease in ride quality. O and 19s dont look that big on a CL... at least mine dont. It is kinda odd. I have had like a zillion people say they look just right. Just my 2 cents.

ey only reason why i went 17's was cause the tires are cheaper. plus i think they look big enough on my car.

No, I only paid for the tires. I worked for Rondy for a while back....and he hooked me up.

I'll look into the drop -- how much would a genuine pair of S Tech's cost me...?
