Accidental fix, ABS

I bought my 97 3.0 CL at 116000 and i never knew how the previous owner really took care of the car like if he actually followed the maintenance schedule. This car was my first car and so i couldn't tell if there was something wrong with it when i bought it. To be honest, when i saw that the ABS light on, i initially thought that it was working only to find out after reading the manual that it signified a problem with the abs system. One day, i did a check up on fluids and saw a reservoir at the bottom left and said "use only dot 3 brake fluid" on the outside. The level was below the min so i added brake fluid. I really thought that would fix the problem but the ABS light still came on after 15 sec. After 3 days, it was snowing, raining, and sleeting outside when i decided to go get some groceries. I had a hard time backing up since the parking lot was piled with snow. I probably skid (which i partially did in purpose just to get the feel of skidding) like 10 times lasting 3 sec each time before i got out. When i was driving on the highway, something caught my attention.1) the ABS light wasn't on anymore 2) i feel my brakes pulsating for the first time. I dont know what happened, im just thankful that it did.

My ABS light tends to come on every once in a while. It used to always be on. It doesnt really worry/bother me anymore.

Most likely you managed to purge an air bubble from the ABS control solenoid. When you were jacking your breaks, you were forcing the system to equalize with the new fluid volume. Be sure to check around your line linkages at the wheel cylinders and around the master and slave cylinders under the hood. The bubble should not have purged... This probably indicates that you have a small leak or crack in the brake lines or their linkages to the braking components.

Good luck.
