Rev Limitor at 4500 RPM
I've just got my 1999 Acura CL V6 and noticed that it "redlines" at 4500 RPM. The guage will not go any further. I do notice that the VTec kicks in at around 3000 RPM. Is it normal to discontinue increasing RPMs after 4500RPM.
I have a K&N air filter (drop in) and have reset the ECU seeing if that is the problem. Are there any suggestions.

Last oil change was at 66000 miles. I have not changed the tranny fluids yet, that will be at the next oil change. I tried resetting the ECU as a wild shot on the problem. It made no difference.
It has 67500 miles on the car right now. We usually have the local firestone do the oil and tires. Should I take it to the dealer and have them look at it. It is an ORR acura in Shreveport, LA.
What other information would you like?

Very stange man.. Take it to the dealer. They can hook it up their computer and find out the last time scratched your ass in it.. It will tell them everything.
