Removing water spots from windows?

Hey guys I was wondering how I get the water spots off of my windows and sideview mirrors that have built up over the lifetime of the car. I want to look in the sideview mirrors and not have them look like crap thanks. I tried windex but that made no improvement.

at honda they use really fine steel wool. just spray a good amount of windex on the windows and then just use the steel wool like u would if u were sanding. apply a good amount of pressure and then just wipe it dry when youre done. if u still have water spots then just do it again i guess.

you could always buy a claybar (under 20 bucks)...and that should remove anything and everything that's stuck on the glass. Don't use a detailer spray with it either, just water and clay....that should create a lot more friction so you can pick up all the debris

I need to do this too when the weather gets better...tree sap sucks

As long as you keep the glass wet it will be fine.

I use fine steel wool almost three times a year on my windows. DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR MIRRORS, it will scratch the hell out of them. I use compond and or clay bar on the mirrors. Compond is also a good way to get rid of minor scratchs out of your windows, I've removed scratchs with compond before.

i use a steam cleaner (scunci) and a paper towel to dry it off. just wax the windows/mirrors afterwards and you'll be good to go.

Stoner Invisible Glass, as advertised in Car and Driver. I haven't found anything better as of yet for cleaning glass
