A friend of mine has a nissan with a bose stereo and when he put a new deck in he couldnt do it because the speakers didnt work with it and he had to buy new ones...can u have a aftermarket deck while keeping the bose speakers?
i just got rid of the stock bose amps and replaced it with a alpine amp traced the wires back to the trunk and spliced into the stock harness i used crimps to avoid cutting the wire completely
97 3.0 CL's....i have heard of this problem with the bose systems and aftermarket CD players...but when i put in mine i had know trouble at all...i was just wondering if anybody else had no problems like i did.

The adapter that Crutchfield sells is just a 6" jumper wire. Each speaker on a Nissan Bose system has it's own amp on the speaker housing. All you have to do to get these speakers to work with the deck is cut the audio input wires to each amp and jump it to the speaker. This is very easy and will need about 2 ft of speaker wire to jump all four amps in the car.

Incorrect.
The box also changes the resistance to 4 ohms to coincide with what the HU needs. Bose speakers use 2 Ohm drivers to use less watts and produce more sound. If you connect your HU directly to the Stock speakers, you run a few risks of driving the HU on a lower resistance. Some HUs are okay with this, Some run hot and will distort very fast. Also if you are replacing the head unit and bypassing the stock amps, just go ahead and get new speakers, they are cheap and you can find deals all over.

had a 300zx TT and it had also the bose system. Eventually I changed it to an aftermarket radio leaving the stock speakers. From what i remmember they Installed it like you would another radio exept on the speaker outputs they converted it to low output (RCA). so basically the spekers went hooked up to the head unit with the rca's and between the headunit and speakers went a rca filter. this was all because each speaker had their own amp.
Thought this might help.
