Angry Radiator Replaced Now A/C won't cool

wassup fellas

so most of you read. My radiator was replaced then all of a sudden my a/c stopped blowing cool air.

Before that I had a soaked carpet because the lines were clogged up. But when i added a CAN of FREON the next day all of the freon is gone.

any ideas before i go to the mechanic?

get the colored freon and wait until your shit runs out again. then take it back to the mechanic and see where the leak's coming from.

Seems like A/C problems can only be fixed by a qualified mechanic huh?

Im thinking of just taking it to GOOD YEAR. Im tired of the rip u off mechanics that hate because they wish they could have what u have.

you can charge them with first degree rape and put them away for 10-20 years if you pay that.

is your evaporator fan running? check and see, it is likely that it might not be hooked up, fan may be disconnected.

wet carpets means your heater core or coolant lines running to it have a leak.

constantly having to replenish freon in your system means a coolant leak. if the leak is not under the hood, it is likely under the dash in your expansion valve, or condenser.

good luck finding the leak, it is hard without a toning leak detector and a good uv detection kit.

btw 1500 dollars is way to high, find a local shop that specializes in A/C repair and never ever take the first estimate and run with it, have the car checked out by other shops for estimates and dont be afraid to let them know that you have been somewhere else and they quoted u a ripoff price, that will put them in a position to beat the other guys and charge u a lot less, thereby securing you as a customer. still, get a written estimate and decide later.

ACK damn it i didnt see u were in miami, send me a PM i have a guy here locally that is a beast at A/C, the guy works in his house and has worked on my other car before, my A/C works pimp now. he obviously vacuums the line with a vacuum pump to remove any humidity, i know this is standard but it is not entirely necessary to vacuum the system before charging, and some shops dont even bother.

i like shit done right.

yeah both fans in front of the engine are running.

coolant lines definetly have a leak.

I will never pay that much. I thought goodyear would handle it but they want to replace the whole ac system it seems

I will never let goodyear do mechanical work to any car of mine ever again, take it somewhere where they can fix the leak and not replace the WHOLE A/C system

really what happened?

Ayo werd. Cause 1450 sounds like new ac system right?

I just looked up some a/c specialist who do nothing but that on classic cars and so on. I checked the BBB and they have no complaints. So ima check'em out tomorrow morning.

Its getting my swagger down with this heat fellas....feel me
