Power Window Problems!

I have a 98 CL with 49000 miles. I was driving the car home the other night, hit a small bump, and the Drivers window dropped down and will not roll up! I've read about this happening, can anyone offer advice as to what I should do???
Thanks

Hi, I just sold my 1997 Acura 3.0CL after owning it for 4.5 years with 169k miles. I bought it with 45k miles on it and under warranty acura put it a new regulator in the passenger window right off the bat. I then bought another one for the same window at 150k miles. So my suggestion is to buy a new regulator w/ motor and have it installed, about $240 total. I could be wrong but that was the ONLY repair I ever made on my car in the 125k miles I put on. I am not sure if your bump had anything to do with it.

Your window regulator is probably gone. Probably the best thing for you to do is to take the door panel off and remove the regulator to check if it's broken or if the cable jumped the track. Could save you some $$ instead of having the acura dealer do it since it's a simple task.

it might of broke some parts in the regulator while he drove on that hard bump. Our window regulator sucks so it has a good chance that bump had effect.

Mine died on the way home from getting my tranny fixed. Ordered the regulator/motor/thingy yesterday ($70) and plan on installing it this week. How do I get in there to work on it? Rip all the white plastic off and work through those little holes? I took the door apart yesterday and it's a pain in the ass - especially since I can't disconnect the mirror control wires.

Mine's out front with the window down right now -- I hit a little bump, too, just before it happened.
I'm considering a general lee motif and just hopping thru it from now on... they engineer to put that manual nut in for the moonroof, and nuttin for the windows. I don't get it...could be worse, could be raining.
