POS Tranny

POS Tranny
so we all know that our transmissions are POS's, but i just had my third transmission related problem. three years ago, my dad was driving my car on the highway and the transmission just shattered. got a rebuilt one for a little less than $3000. then last year, a pipe blew out and my transimission fluid leaked the hell out everywhere and i couldnt get into any gear at all. then today, my car refused to stay in first. like itll be in the park position and the engine will be revving itself up to 3000 and then all of a sudden drop. anyway, couldnt drive in first at all, basically the car went off the line in second.
so i dropped it off at the nearest place, which was Napa, and they're gonna get back to me on it tomorrow.
i know these trannies are pretty notorious for going out, but this is ridiculous. i thought acura/honda's ae supposed to be well known for their reliability.

He would owe them another grand. You can't touch D.E. for less than $5K. Oh well. hope your new rebuild works good. Mine has been in for just under a year. I only paid $2K, but I know the guys. Acura crate remanufactured for $1,400, and the rest was labor.
