Please help me save my window :(

I know eveyone knows where this is going My window got stuck down and would not go back up. This happened to the drivers side, which was not showing any sings of malfunctioning.

The real unusual thing is that the window would go down when i pressed up. it would go down 3-5 inches before getting stuck. I think the motor is still good because it spins and pulls the window down (even though is supposed to go up instead)

I took the door apart and finally got the window to stay up.
while doing this i found a cable that was out of place i think this is whats causing it. I know almost everyone here has had this great experience with the great quality of acura window regulators (rick, i know you have gone through a couple, or should i say 5-6) dont mean to jinx you or anything, just looking for help

here are some pics of the out of place cable

I couldnt view the pics but from the sounds of it maybe your window regulator is broke??? I saw one on sale on ebay. Check it out.

I can't really tell anything by the pics.

The cable broke on all of my regulators (4)!

Like bzboy says, check out eBay (if your's is broke). I've seen them for $75-$80. Dealer charges over $250 (including installation).

However, if it's just "off track" (which I doubt), you should be able to figure how to put it back. Worst case scenario, remove the other door panel to see how it should be aligned.

Good luck.

Your cables could be mangled. That's probably why it only goes down 3-5 inches. If that's the case then you need a new regulator.

A week after I got my CL, the driver's side went down with a grinding noise and never came back up. Pretty aggravating since it happened at 12:15 on a Saturday and the Acura repair shop shuts down at noon and doesn't re-open until Monday. The extended warranty I bought covered the repairs, but I still had to spend the weekend feeling naked. I know it is just glass, but when it's not there I feel like my car is really vulnerable. I feel your pain! Good luck.

The rain hit when I had no window too, so I had to drive it to a sympathetic friend's garage! The repair guy said they had to replace both rails, but not the motor or cable.

yeah you have to take all those bolts out...one of the bolt that's holding the window you'll have to move the window down until you see the bolt threw this round hole on the panel. and yes the window will drop when you take the assembly out.

My parts is coming in Thursday!! i can't wait to roll around with my window down.
