Paint job...

So i just found this place in my area that will paint my car in Nighthawk Black Pearl for $1600, which is the exact color that i'm looking for and in my price range... do you think it's a good deal?

And for those with paintjobs recently, did you have warranty? how long should i have?

Thanks,

I would check to see if they have any type of limited warranty or paint integrity warrenty. Im thinking of getting mine re-painted, did they say how long they would have your car ?

He said one week, guaranteed! i'm gonna ask to have the plastic side skirt, rotors (the rusty part), valve cover, maybe caliper (if i don't do a legend swap) painted too.... i'm still negotiating, not in any hurry (until the insurrance check come) so if you guys can find a better deal, please give me a head up...

MOB WORKS off of ball rd in the OC. It's a bit pricey... but def worth it. If u wanna see if that 1600 is worth ur money/time, check out the other projects they have done. Do they have a reputable name? Do they do a lotta cars? hows the shop condition? the workers? Take all these things into thought before u leave ur car with them.

Like i said, i'm in the process of negotiating and looking for quotes so i'm not set with this shop... but thanks for the points you mentioned... i'll def look into those...

If anyone here had their car painted, would you mind giving me the place's # so i can get some quotes please? Thanks

1600 is a pretty good price but like dragon said, it might not be the best paint job..

for a good paint job you gotta pay some good $$...dragon and myself know all about that

right now im painting my car at school and i get a pretty nice discount on the stuff and it'll still end up costing me almost 3g's (CDN) but thats without labour..i could only imagine how much a shop would charge for everything i've done/doin on my car

I'm not looking for show-stopper paint job, just a reliable and clean looking coat of paint.... plus, the roads in LA and OC are horrible so there'll be rock chips ... and i'm bound to get scratches and dings since i go to school in a community where people (scratch that, JACKASSes) don't appreciate how others look after their car with all their hearts... :madrant:
