will the bulbs burn out quicker without the wiring harness or will it effect the stock wiring?

i would think the harness would help so you dont overload the stock wiring. im sure other people ran them like that and they were fine. i think u just take a risk of burning your stock connectors.

The bulb life should be the same. Your wiring harness is set up for DOT bulbs, 55W & 60W. More juice runs the risk of burning out the stock wiring. The heavy duty harnesses are pretty cheap so I'd get them if I were doing it. But sometimes I go overboard with risk prevention. I know nippon_wa is running the Stage II Purple. Maybe get a hold of him a see if he's had any problems. Me, I'm just gonna put the money toward HID's. I've not used the 100W in my CL, but they've burnt out quite quick in other cars.

Good to know! I might give 'em a try while waiting for the HIDs.

I used to have Nokyas on the stock harness. Burnt it to shit after like 2 months. Like others said, just save up for HID's they're pretty cheap now anyways.

I got 100W nokyas for my High beams (I have HIDs for lows) and have never had a problem. Although I rarely run with the highs on for long periods of time.
