NEW MUFFLER...need help deciding please

I was thinking about just putting a muffler on my '97 2.2. I was looking towards the Flowmasters 40 series, but I also read about the 60 series. I am looking to get a rumble sound (more like a chev small block and less like a high pitched rice rocket) Is there any other mufflers that would give me this sound with only a 4cyl. or is that very unlikely?

I have this one 14805 this way I kinda keep my stock look and it sounds good, no ricey sound. You can only get so deep of a sound with a 4 cyclinder that is not cammed up. These mufflers are stainless and warrentied for life. My local shop installed a custom cat-back and muffler for $280.00

I did not get a cat back. I just got a muffler and the shop bent the pipe and made a cat back for me.

Oh thanks. So does it really sound pretty good? (like not a rice rocket?) If you have some time, could you please listen to the integra on this website (Flowmaster) (no downloading, just click on the speaker pic) and compare yours. This is the one I was thinking of getting. Is yours anything like this or is it deeper?

I listened to them and the first sound byte had a higher pitch sound than mine I think. I think mine sounded deeper, but I hear mine live not on a computer. I will try to get a little digital clip with sound this week and send you.

No No No No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im sorry, but did you see the Flow Master booth at SEMA this year???

Who the fuck puts a flow master on an import???

what ever you do, dont buy a generic muffler just because its $200, it will give no hp, not that exaust do in the first place , your exaust has two mufflers one in the middle and the big one at the bumper, if you go the cheap route and just get the big muffler, you still have restricted air flow. thats why people buy Cat-backs
