if it's a complete cat back system, it should bolt on perfectly. You can do it yourself...or have a shop do it in like 15 minutes. Cat backs just bolt on...no welding required!

because of the underbody design of the CL, i'm almost 99% sure that you're going to need to cut and weld from the cat back if you want the most performance....what i ended up doing was just getting a universal exhaust and then just getting 2.5" tubing all the way back from the catalytic converter....if it's too loud then have the guy put the resonating chamber back on.....

I really don't think the resonator does all that much. If you take a look at it, its just a pipe expansion. Sound wise it might only affect it alittle bit. Just leave it on. Don't think its affecting performance.

I could be wrong, and somebody correct me if I am....but if you're buying a cat-back exhaust system (not making a custom cat-back at a muffler shop) and it's specifically made for our cars (accord...same thing) it should be a perfect fit bolt on.

Well, guys....i put on the tanabe Hyper exhaust today. It wasn't a perfect fit for the 3.0. They had to move the hangers and do a little cutting...but it looks good and SOUNDS GREAT!!....cost me $80 to get it installed.

great to hear man! hope you're enjoying it....

Limmerz -
i had originally ordered a Apexi World Sport cat back exhaust and it didn't fit at all...the bends apparently didn't line up and the hangers were in the completely wrong place.....luckily they allowed me to return it and purchase a universal which i took to a muffler specialist to have them put it on....i originally had them take the resonator off, and it seemed like i lost quite a bit of low end torque, and it was so loud that i was getting head aches when i was driving in 5th gear at 60 mph....i was also setting car alarms off like crazy (THAT was funny as shit)

Damn!

I was gonna get the Apexi WS too, I thought it would be a perfect fit. Which application did you get it for? Didja get it for the 97 accord? Dang...now I guess I should look for a different one?
