How much wear and tear does turbo put on your engine and how bad is the effect on your fuel economy?

 

turbo fucks up the fuel economy......

 

If you dont know dont even consider it. Nothing but bad news unless you know what your doing.

 

i heard it doubles the mileage on ur car. like if u have 30,000 miles of using the turbo ur engine looks like it has 60,000 miles of wear and tear.

 

Your engine will wear faster.

Your fuel economy depends on your fuel set up. If you use the fuel set up that comes with the kits, most will only add fuel under boost.

If you stay out of boost the economy will be the same. Thats tough to do once youre hooked.

 

Does a supercharger cause the same affects?

 

An SC is going to need more fuel any time the throttle is moved. There's no such thing as driving with no boost from a supercharger. At low RPM its adding more air than stock so itll need more fuel.
