Need Help Quick!
Ok so like 2 months ago i put in my AEM CAI i have a 98 3.0/ I got the cai for the 98-00 av6. Pipe fits great but where the mount is supposed to be isnt very good. AEM gives you that rubber mount thing. I cant get mine to fit. I just used a bolt and put it in there. It rattles out every day. I tried thread lock but to no avail. How did you guys do it?? Why dont mine fit. WHen im driving and hit about 5k rpm, my intake start this rattling (not growling) that makes it sound like a big block with shitty valves. I dont know what to do. Im about to make it a short ram if i cant get this fixed. Please help and thank you very much.
i dont know what could help you with that CAI rattle issue, i havent gotten off my ass yet and ordered one for my car , so i really wouldnt know about the design of the parts, if i could go slightly off subject however and ask you about the alum dash overlay; where did ya get it, how easy was install and how does it match up with the dash: good, no-good or a-ight?
thanx for any input you might have

http://www.speedhut.com/ this website has them. For the 94-97 accord auto. About 16 bucks for the overlay. They have it in aluminum or cf. Easy to do, perfect fit and if you dont use the double stick tape its still very solid and you can remove it anytime. I would for sure recommend it.
If you need help putting it in let me know through PM

ok, got it now, small misunderstanding but good info nonetheless, i was looking for dash inserts to replace the gay-ish factory wood paneling crap in my car, switch it over to c-f, but actually the tip about speedhut was cool too, thanx

BTW: I wouldn't cut it into a short ram. Try to rig it somehow (or wait and see if I have any feedback this weekend).
Thanks Rick but your info finds me too late. I did cut it into a short ram. Easier to clean, i personally think it sounds better too. The bottom end seems to have been boosted a lot but high RPM's suffer a little. No more rattling!!!!! O well. My theory is i can always add a bypass valve and make it a CAI again.
