My starter story
well i cant blame Ghost for this because it wasnt her fault it was mine. I am in the process of buying an F23A1 motor and trans for $200 and if all went to plan i woulda been had that by now. so my only good friend thats home and didnt go away to college truck's rear end blew up, so its been in the shop for a while now. my plan was to temporarily swap starters from the F23 until my F22, but obviously i cant without the F23. so ive been punishing whats left of my starter. most of the time i have to pop start the car to save the life of it just a little bit longer until i pick up the motor. but this morning the starter is completely dead. the starter pulley is just spinning but no cranking whatsoever. it just sounds like a fan. so today i ordered a new starter and im getting it for like $75 through my job. so until i can install the new starter on sunday im driving my parents 03 Accord EX-L. i looked at my chiltons manual and everything looks pretty straightforward. for any of you guys who have replaced your starter did you run into any problems.

None. It took me longer to go to the store and buy it. Its 2 bolts (14mm i believe). Hold it while you are taking out the last bolt though, cuz it may fall out. It should take you roughly 10 min to change.

No kidding.... No, you dont work on it from underneath. Its basically right ontop of your tranny. If you are looking at the engine, it is right on the left hand side of the engine. If my crappy photobucket would work, i would show you where to look....
