my poor car

i got into an accident last night. My brand new (only has it for a month) cl was hit by a douche bag. I was making a left at an intersection, the guy flashed his lights and let me go. Next thing i know after waking up i was in my car, which was smashed against a pole on the other side of the street, and the guy who let me go is pulled over. He hit me on the side after letting me go and now the cops are telling me its my fault! He has no insurence and also a suspended license and im still getting it hard. Oh and also my car might be totaled. I feel like a parent who just lost their kid. The car was one of a kind, 97 2.2cl gold package, premium package, only 38,000 miles on it! GOD DAMMIT!! this car meant the world to me, i worked so hard to get it and because of some idiot it gets taken away from me...just had to vent.

i don't know why he went, i can't go to a lawyer because the "witness" told the cops that i whipped around the corner...but its a stick and i was at a stop so its impossible for me to whip around a corner but im pretty sure that the "witness" went to high school with the mother fucker so my asshole looks like the grand canyon from getting porked by all this in the past two nights

Man that sucks. I guess you can never trust other drivers. They always seem to make mistakes and you always seem to pay.

How are you sure that he flashed you to go ahead and didn't flash you to tell you that he wasn't stopping?

As said before, never trust the other driver.

Also suing someone with no insurance is almost pointless, if they cant afford insurance then they cant really afford to pay for your damages either.

Flashed to tell you he wasn't stopping? What's that? Maybe he was flashing to tell him that it was his birthday. Flashing your lights at somebody can only mean three things: 1)move your ass, I want to pass (on the highway) 2) Sure, go ahead through the intersection - I won't T-Bone you or 3) your headlights aren't on and its dark out.

If he was T-bone and the car was "totaled", then he must have been moving pretty quickly. If so, why would he flash to say sure come in?

So I'm just saying that he was saying #1, get out of the way.

If that jackass has a suspended license, HE is at fault. It is elegal for him to be on the road, period. Even if you caused the accident it will be his fault. Fuck him and that stupid pig. I'd fight it.

Amen Mark. Sounds like a good civil suit if nothing else.

Melo - I hear ya. The guy clearly wasn't stopped if he hit iceman before he could get across the intersection. It's just not a good idea to be flashing people stopped at an intersection b/c that's generally viewed as an OK to go.

I agree. And I don't think he was right in what he did. As soon as he got in his car w/o insurance, he was wrong.

And if I didn't say it before, sorry to hear about your CL Iceman, but I'm glad to hear your OK.

Same here - we're here talking about the semantics of the situation and you're taking it without lube. Happy you're OK - you said when you woke up - did you actually black out?
