my low car is even lower!!

Ok today i go to a totally different shop and complain about this creeeking noise i hear when i go over speed bumps and when i hit the gas and when im driving slow or shake tha car... soo as he's checking out that problem he told me my bumpstops were never cut when the springs were put on? So he took it all apart in like 45min and cut the bump stops...also got rid of the noise something to due with the rear part of the front camber kit and he took apart the shock or sum shit i dunno it was complicated what he said...soo now im driving to school and stuff i would never scrape on, now i hear "CCccccccchhhhhhhkkk" in the front? Why is my car lower now? Front wheels tucking...Do i need new alignment? IS this bad scraping the front? whatz scraping i think its the plastic

Your suspension has more travel due to cutting the bumpstops, therefore your car may be lower because the suspension is not sitting on the bumpstops... Also, it sounds like (just speculating) the last mechanic didn't seat your springs correctly.

It would be a good idea to get an alignment, because your car is resting at a different position.

After i took the bump stops out on mine, i noticed it making a noise like that. On mine its the tire rubbing on the outside of the fender, but thats only when i make turn or go over a bump with the wheel turned.

Hmm actually it might be the tire hitting the fender...didnt think of that cause it happens when im going down into a ditch or making hard turn... I thought it would be weird to scrap because if anything my car is maybe 1/6 of an inch lower, and i barely ever scraped the front before that...Epoc, How low was your drop? And is it ok to hit the fender like this?

The bumpstops are there to keep your shock/strut from bottoming out on full compression, your springs are there to hold the car up. The ride height should not change due to the bumpstops. I'd say your car is sitting lower due to an installation difference, like someone said, maybe the springs not being seated correctly etc.

could be that the springs werent seated rite..the bumpstops would make no difference in the height only the way it ride..my car is pretty low.. i scrape the floorpan while drivin down the road..just sumthin u need to deal with having a lowered car

actually while driving bump stop will make a difference because when you go over a speed bump your suspension will be able in compress more due to then shorter bump stop, as where before he had them cut he hit the bump stop which made the creeking noiseand stoped it from comtracting to much. he never said it looked lower so im guessing thats what happened in his case

I'm running spotlines with tokico adjustable. The bump stops will make a difference in ride height if the drop is low enough, but that is only when the car is sitting on the bump stops (which happens to be the case with the sportline drop). I don't know what problems this is going to cause, but on my car i have almost worn through the plastic lining on the fender and i will be hitting the metal pretty soon, so i might just put the bump stops back on to prevent this.

Trust me I spent way over 1k on my suspension
I could be on bags right now for all the money i spent...I funny thing is I paid alot more then 150 for my camber kit and it sucks...I think i paid almost 400 for front/back sprint camber kit i got rippd off and im trying to make the place that i got it from pay for an ingalls in the front cause my shit sucks...They freakin orderd it off of nopi.com its like 107.01/side in the front and 90.00/side in the back all i knew at the time was my tires were wearing. Wish i woulda researched it more...Plus they charged me mad dough for installing fug them whatever.

even if you went with teins you would still need alignment, ingals, and install. which is about half of the 1060 anyway

baka_t, damn your car is low! I have a prokit and it still looks stock, wish i went with real coilovers, either apexi or tein. Question though, when you get a camber kit with coilovers, does that make it in specs at whatever ride height you want, or just one specific height?

When you set the camber kits. It's set to one specific height. They're faily easy to adjust. You just have to redo the alignment.
