My car

Hey Guys,

I have a 1997 black 3.0 Acura CL. I am thinking about getting the 16" Motegi MR7's in black and tint my windows so its all blacked out. What do you guys think of that? How do you think it would look. I really like the stealth like look. I think it'd be cool. Thanks for the input

cost

i can afford 17's or 18's but i can't afford the rubber that is necessary to come with it. Would it be better to get the gunmetal rims?

I Think 16's Is Not Such A Good Idea Just Save Up And Get 18's But The Black-out Idea Is Nice

17's are always a good middle point. i had 18's, but the drive sucked and my area isn't too friendly when it comes to potholes. now i have 17's and its better now. haven't had any problems. it all depends what you want: speed or looks, decide that first. and welcome to the board by the way. check my homepage, you will get an idea of a black CL with gunmetal rims.

yeah im actually thinking of moving down to 16's again... from 18's not sure though... cheaper rubber too... but something with a better offset.

don't get motigi's they are to heavy for a rim. i was looking at those when I was rim shopping mainly for price and decent looks... but then it is a mexican rim that you can buy at pepboys...

plus they are on the heavy side for rims.

i think if you're gonna get black rims, the Axis Seven Mod's are fukin hot. gloss black with a polished lip. or the RH CR's in gunmetal, those are the ones i really want next year.

price range

My price range is probably at most 500 for rims cuz i'm not sure how much longer i'm going to keep this car. Probably at most another 2 years, then im going to get a F-250 to fit my redneck ways at Davis haha but yea the idea of 16's is that i don't have to drop it either and it still looks pretty good, the rubber is cheap and i like the black/gunmetal rims look. THanks for the input guys keep it coming!

I would just dump that money into lowering the car then, I wouldnt spend money on soem aftermarket 16's when our car already has 16's. Just drop it first, save some money and if you decide to keep the car, then get some 17's or 18's

Nakayama Racing has a nice forged 17" rim called Kodama in gunmetal black

I've seen a couple wheel packages under a thousand
