Motor Mount

Whoever did the H22 swap, which motor mounts did you use? My boy has 2 H22 engines "borrowed" of course and I was thinking about getting it..$400 can't really beat that.

Until you get pulled over and the numbers dont match and they impound your shit. happend to my boy who unknowingly bought a used VR6 motor for his jetta. Be careful with that stuff.

I'm gonna shave the numbers from the top and the bottom, I also know someone who can change the numbers for me also. I was gonna build this thing for show but if I swap the engine I can't do it.

Dont shave them, thats more obvious. What my friend did after that with a different car is he went to a shop where his boy works and had him work up a receipt showing he bought the motor legit. Dont shave anything off, thats an sure way of having your car taken.

Whoa, chill out. No one is supporting anything. We are just making sure he is aware that he can get in trouble if for some reason he is caught. If he takes the advice, so be it, if not, hey....

chill out batman. It's wrong, but if he decides to go through with it, "things" will run their course. It sucks, but Im a firm believer in that.

azian21485 has a point. u wouldnt want anyone jacking ur shit. My civic stuff was jacked twice, it was only $300 in stereo equipment, i cant imagine how id feel if they took the whole car, pulled the engine and threw the stripped body back in my face all de-balled.

He has a point( eventhough it was pointed out like he is 10 yrs old learning new curse words ) but go to any show and guarantee you will see a ton of swapped engines..You gonna tell me every little 19 yr old kid with swapped engines at the track and shows paid their 2000-4000 for a new engine...I don't think so...

HAHa that sad truth...
I learned in law class that possesion of stolen goods is still punishable even if u did not know they were stolen. And they dont have A-cl.com in jail.. just be careful.

Oh yeah, that's great logic. "everybody else is doing it" makes plenty of sense. now you almost sound like a 10 year old.

the fact that you even considered it is just as bad as doing it. the only thing stopping you would be the fact that you "might get in trouble". think about how the person felt after their car was stripped and engine jacked. If you still consider it after that then you might as well do it, but if you do I personally hope the same thing happens to you. you're car gets jacked and they strip it bare, then you might understand better and understand why going legit is the better way.

by buying the stolen engine you are supporting the stealing and stripping of cars. DO you support that?

This is true. Do like I said. Have someone work up a receipt just in case and hope that # doesnt show up stolen. I f you dont post for a few weeks, I guess we'll take up a bail collection

c'mmon man how many of u have been told to pop your hood after uve been pulled over? prolly none of you. cause u have a cl not a civic with a grocrey cart wing a CL. the likleyhood of anyone doing a swap much less an illegal swap is pretty slim. hell, its already borrowed. cant give it back and i know i wouldnt squeel on my friend so why the hell not. morraly and physically he didnt borrow it. he paid for it. leave home boy alone. until he steals my engine, then ill break his hips. but... u know what im gettin at.

I am about done woith my swap. Use all CLs mounts except for driver side. You need a 92-96 prlude driver side mount. You do not need to shave it or anything, just replace the driver side CLs mount. Good luck with yiour swap.....it can be a bitch!

I would jump on the chance to throw a stolen H22 in my CL, I don't know why you are all bitching him out about it. A fair amount of the H22a engines that you would be "legitimately" buying from japanese importers are probably stolen from Japanese kids in the first place. Platano is getting a chance to put some real power in his CL without spending $3000 - $5000 and he wouldn't be able to do that if he was paying that much. Maybe you haters just envy the fact that he has this chance and you dont.

Yeah, thats it , we're jealous. Just trying to look out for the guy, if he gets it, I hope he doesnt get caught, just sharing my story. I didnt see anybody "bitching" about it, just giving advice. Your post sounds like you are bitching.

maybe you need to stop the bitching just chill out, no one's : him for it, it's just something you've got to be wary about. Personally, I'd save the cash for a buy from a shop w/a receipt, etc. I could sleep at night w/that. (again, that's just me.)

If he goes through w/it, more power to him. He just has to be aware there may be some consequences.

that, and I love my f22b1. hater.

tis'all.
