Light weight rims?

Are there any rims available that are significantly lighter than stock to lower the rotational inertia enough to make a noticable improvement in acceleration and braking?

Well, if money is an issue, you can go with a konig slipstream, helium, or sub-zero. I think the sub-zero is the only one out of the three that has a 17" size available. They weigh 16lbs a piece. The 16's I believe are around 12.6lbs, like the Spoons.

If you go with one of these rims, get beefy tires. They bend easy with really low profile tires.

Again, this is only if money is an issue. Spoons and Volks are in a whole different league. Especially comapred to Konig..

u can get 17" oz superleggeras (im gettin em) 15lbs a rim
17" ssr integrals 16 lbs a rim
stock 16s weigh about 20-22lbs

and these are the only 2 rims i found that light for under $300 rim.
15lbs vs 20lbs is a big DIFF

thats like takin 100+ lbs of dead weight. i bet that speeds my car up almost as much as my i/h/e/p did.
