KYB AGX settings *Revisited*
I already did the search about the last time we talked about this, but I thought it was worth doing another mini-poll. My KYB's just came in the mail and before I put them on in a week or so I'd like some input on where people have the dampeners set at... 3Front/5Rear will be my first try I think. Let us know what you've got your settings at right now, and what you prefer if different!

3F/6R, anything below that is underdamped, IMO, and 4F/8R is hard as hell! AGX's aren't known for providing adequate dampening while giving a plush ride.
(Used with Prokits)
Oh, and you might wanna cycle them a few times when they're right side up before you install them, and then run the first 100 mi or so on full soft to break them in. It's recommended by a lot of people, but I've never heard anybody breaking anything without doing that.

2 front - 4 rear (on Pro-Kits)
I want as close to stock (comfy) ride as possible.
I mostly just drive to work and back, and some of the pavement isn't the greatest.
Even at those settings, there is virtually no body roll when cornering.

I currently have mine set at 2F/5R and with this 205/40/17 low profile tires it does feel harsh a bit but I think it's the tires. I think I'll go with 205/45/17 next time. Does the tire matter? Can someone answer that for me?
BTW I'm on prokits as well and on a 3.0L. I really do like the difference the springs and shocks made though, a lot lot better.

I agree w/ RidinLow....anything below 3F/6R is underdamped. I have H&R Sports, and I leave the fronts at 4F at all times, and play w/ the rears at 6-8, normally at 6. Anything less feels like the shocks are out of control.

I normally run mine on 2F/4R. For a while, I was running 1F/2R. It was great for a long road trip but not for any kind of twisty action. I also ran mine at 3F/6R, but it didn't feel like too much of a difference from 2/4. At 4/8, I could tell. Stiff as hell though. Great for some serious twisties!!

I ride with the fronts at "4" at all times. When racing (at the track or on the street) I put the rears on "8". For everyday running, I put them on "6". For long trips, I put them on "5".

Realistically, I usually have them on "8" until my kidneys are killing me (about a month or so), then I change them to "6" until they begin feeling too soft, then back to "8".
I guess I should just put them on "7"!

2/4 is the best compromise of comfort/performance with the roads in midtown atlanta. But, since you will still have the stock rims, you should go 4/8 because the tires will absorb a lot of the bumps, maybe 4/6. With 215/45-17s tires though you need them to be a bit softer.
