keyless entry not working. Alarm works but no keyless.....This sucks... anyone know the deal? I checked fuses etc.

 

Do you hear the motor in the door try to move the lock? On my prelude the bar that it was suppose to push the lock open and close was over so it wouldn't push it.

 

turbotk sorry to hijack the thread but have you found out the name of the primer you used to paint your interior?

 

1. ever since I did the old "swaperoo" it hasn't worked. I don't hear the motor at all. everything works except the dam keyless. I was thinking it was the module.

The adhesive I used is long gone in my world. I haven't seen a can in a while. Like I already told you, the best thing to do is go to a shop and ask them. Search for a local interior or paint type shop that supplies to mechanics and look in the yellow pages.

 

Ekk that is not good, if that is the case, it be cheaper to get a aftermarket system. Friend told me at the time the module is very expensive.

do your doors like to lock itself even if it's in the locked position? I know a few members have had this problem. it's gotten so bad that as soon as you unlock the car it locks itself back up. mine does it randomly too. that's why i can't use the shock sensor. but in your case, what do you mean by "swaperoo"? what did you swap? did you remember to plug all the plugs back in?

I swapped my motor. I went over the car 10 times before putting everything back together.

Everything works perfectly when it comes to locking, unlocking, etc...It is just whenever I hit any button on my keyless, the light comes on but not a thing happens. It's like shooting blanks.

I'm gonna take it in sooner then later. When I figure it out, I'll let you guys know what it is.

Instead of buying a new module or actuator, I would try replacing the remote itself first, buy one from ebay for 10 bucks, program it, and if it still doesnt work, youre out 10 bucks but good news! Your local Best Buy or Circuit city run specials every sunday in the paper for a 99 dollar "black widow" or 'rattler" alarm.

Hell, I know those brand are no better than factory alarm, but hell, reason I got my keyless is only so i dont have to put the key in the hole and so i can hear "chirp chirp"!

 

Does the trunk still open with the remote?

 

my remote doesnt work until i get right next to the car and then somtimes i have to walk around the car in different spots to get the damn door open with the remote :angry:

anyone know how i can fix this range problem and opening the door, i mean the remote blinks but it wont open the doors

i think all our remotes are a bunch of POS rejects from honda

Hmmmmm. I think i would of thought about the battery. Cmon....I swap my motor but I can't figure out if a battery needs to be replaced.
