k & n air filter
k & n air filter
a friend of mine recommended that i get a k & n air filter, said that it'd last a lot longer and would increase performance by a little bit...any truth to these claims? (i.e., should i buy one?)
your friend is right - although there are alot of threads in "Car Talk" about whether K&N's actually work or not. I think its up for debate, but at the very least, it will last forever as long as you clean it! Do a search in Car Talk about the pros/cons of the K&N filter. I had one in my car, and for the price (under $40), I'd recommend it.
just go ahead and get a cold air intake..mine came with a non disposable filter and you'll get a lil performance gain...more expensive, yes..but if you're on this forum you'll probably end up wanting one anyways...better than spending $$ on the K&N now and then getting the intake later
