Intake Question

I just want to make sure before I get it that this will work on my car. I've got a 98 2.3. Also does anybody have the same intake or have any opinions on this one? Thanks.

How much is a K&N cone filter typically run?

about as much as one of these, and id have one of these, great flow, no stupid oil, and still re-usable, just wash in water according to Fujita

I did buy a full out AEM for 80 bucks because that whole CARB exempt sticker comes in handy

Really?

**Hey first time post**

That being said, I pretty much don't know anything about cars, but will that 10 dollar intake actually make the car perform better? I bought my first cl (98 3.0)last week and I've been reading about it on here ever since. Should have read about it on here (damn tranny) before I bought it but oh well. While I have your attention, I want to replace my amber colored lights in the front. What should I be looking for and where shoud I look for it? eBay? Thanks. - Chris

the bumper lenses will be an actual CL part, so look up for your year model..... intakes in general for us Hondas are only good for around 2-3HP, 5 at the very most....... since our motors on stock intake breathe so well as it is the extra air only helps that little bit

You can get new corners on ebay, and if you have a 3.0 get a 98-02 accord v6 cold air intake on ebay as well. Just make sure to put the k&n cone filter on it.

I wouldnt do K&N on a CAI application, my bro had it on his Celica, it splashed some water on a rainy day and the oil was smeared and shitty......... id say buy a re-usable DRY filter, like an AEM Dryflo, or a Fujita F5... but of course thats just me..... but since they all fall into around the same price bracket id buy a dry one

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the quick responses guys. One more question (probably should start a new thread instead of asking it here) after the recent rain we just had I noticed that the rug in the trunk is damp, there is condensation underneath the trunk hood, and some mold under the board that covers the spare. How do you think water got in there? There is the smallest crack around where the spoiler meets the car but it couldn't possibly be just from that.

I used to have a pretty bad leak in the trunk right after i got the car, and it was coming in through the taillights. I took the tail light out and put some sealant on the gasket the goes on the taillight, and then tightened down nuts a bit tighter than they were and it hasn't leaked since.

Could be the tail lights, though i doubt it. Another member had a leak at the bottom edge of the windshield that was coming in around the back seat, otherwise, could be the rubber trunk lining. May wanna have a body shop check it out.
