the alpine will sound better...end of story

6 speakers = 6 1/2 midrange in doors and tweeters on dash component fronts with stock x-over
and 6x9 coaxials in rear deck

An adapter is only like $10-$15. Don't cut off your stock harness. Just plug the aftermarket harness into the stock one and match up the wires that coordinate with the functions (i.e. LF speaker RR speaker, auxilary, etc.)

Yeah, you have to re-wire the car to bypass the amp and make it go straight to the CD unit. I had to do that with my CL

You don't have the Bose unless your CD player says "Acura BOSE" on it. If it just says Acura, you don't have the Bose. Same CD player tho. I got your PM sylthecru, this should answer your question.

I ran into the same problem, i think you have to take out the majority of your dash to get to it =\

You have to take the center console out first. There are screws all over the console but they are not hard to find. After you got that out of the way, you need to remove your center bezel. Start with taking the plastic trim ring around the shifter out. There will be two screws at the end of the bezel where it meets with the center console. There is one screw behind the ashtray. The rest should be all clips. The radio should have a metal bracket holding it from the bottom with two screws. Hope that helps.

No shit. 20 seconds or less to take out the stereo on a 2.2 98+ is a bitch, gotta take the consol out and shit.

you are better off just leaving it easy....you dont want them getting pissed and start breaking shit left and right...just let them take the HU and be out.

that is a good point. i've got an eclipse deck that is registered so if someone takes my deck they aren't going to be using it, and are going to have a hell of a time selling it.
