I think my window died.

I tried to put it down and it started going veeerrrryyy slow and it acted like it was working against something, so I put it back up before I wouldn't be able to and that was a struggle too. Now it won't go down, it makes some noises, but it won't move. What do you think is up? Motor dying, something stuck in there, I don't have any clue.

Hopefully you guys do

Thanks.

Yeah, it's probably the regulator (motor). I've change mine 4 times since I've owned it.

If you have a warranty, go get it checked out.

If you don't have a warranty, I recommend buying the part and putting it in yourself. www.acuraautomotiveparts.net

It is possible to put this part in by yourself, i got some help from a mechanic i know and it was pretty easy, took about 45 minutes in all. But if you are under warranty, free is great

Does it make a crunching sound but the window doesn't go anywhere?

the motor may work but the regulator can be broken and they sell it all as one unit

My regulator went out and it sounded exactly like that when it died. I got it done from the dealer and spent $200... so I would try to do it myself if I could.

The crunching sound sounds familiar. I'll have to get the new regulator online. Thanks for the link & the info.

My window was going down a 'lil slow and I asked the dealer to "look" at it when the car was in for service for the ignition recall. They charged me to put grease in the window channel! Now I have windows that work normal, but leave grease marks on my tint! Don't take it to the dealer unless it's under warranty.
