I don't have the code for the stereo !

What do I do now ?? I realize my only option is to pull out the unit and then give my local acura dealer the serial number of the unit and then they would be able to find the code for me. They tried to find the code by VIN, but apparent my car is from some weird dealer thats not anywhere near i live that they can locate. Is there any ways to overide or maybe i should just replace with a new head unit ? Any suggestion would be really appreicated !

Pretty sure there is no way to bypass it. Just pull it out real quick and get the serial number. Do a search and you should find instructions on how to remove it

I just took my stereo out and wrote down the serial number and gave it to the service dept. They gave me my code in less than 2 minutes, no hassle, no charge. Did that last wednesday.

You should be able to just drive your car over to an Acura dealer and have them reprogram it with out you having to do any work.

What advice ytou guys giving...

all you gotta do is call up the dealer, give them your name and they give you your 5 digit pin... then you turn on radio and punch it in!!! Some dealers want you to go in with the registration for security reasons,.... but its that simple!!!!!

REPLACE IT!
I replaced my speakers all around and had the stock headunit for a while. I thought I had a problem with my front speakers clipping and distorting, I was getting pretty pissed cause they were brand new.
Well, when I put my new head unit in all problems were solved, great LOUD & CLEAR sound now from all 4 speakers... don't really know if the top dash tweeters are still working...

The stock unit has soo little power...
