I cheated death...

Well heres the story I suppose.

I got a job around a month ago. The past couple weeks I have been working all 6:AM shifts. Well this one wasnt so swell. Or lets just say trying to get there wasnt.

Well for happened.
I was driving to work, approx 5 miles . I was about 2/3 of the way there when I heard a bang.... I fell asleep at the wheel. I slammed over one curb then down a curb across a road and back up another curb. Thats only half of it. When I smashed back up the 3rd curb my mirror got taken off by a street sign. Just the mirror. No scratches whatsoever of the side of the car (drivers side). With my car next to it. There would be about 3 ft to the right where there is a telephone pole. Somehow, I manage to smash over a curb and go inbetween the street sign and telephone pole. And I still hadnt stopped yet. After I got my mirror taken off, (by this time I had woken up then basically clenched the wheel and hoped for the best), I de-rooted 3-4 5ft tall evergreen trees then hit a small volleyball sized rock which slid my back-end out and and slowed me down and then I hit a tree. Thats what stopped me. By the time I hit the tree I wasnt going very fast, thank god, And there is an oval shaped dent about the size of an oblong tennis ball. Which isnt even noticeable. No I wasnt driving the Ack. My dad wont let me in fear of the tranny blowing out. I was driving my gmas 99 sable (122xx miles on it) which she cant drive anymore because she is too old now. My Front left rim has a dent about the size of a softball. My front right rim was buried 6 inches into the soft soil and the rim looked ok somehow, (it probably isnt), and there was an indent in the tire. The tree I hit wasnt a large one. Had like 6-7 trunks. Probably a cluster of small trees. And I broke a few of those off. The tow truck towed it. God knows whats wrong inside the car. It still runs. The axles could be snapped. You tell me, I dont know anything about cars like that. I know this really isnt CL related but the ramblings thread didnt sound like the place to post this. I know you ppl on the 1st gen side more personally. And I wasnt wearing my seatbelt so if I had hit the telephone pole I would have been human projectile out the front window and that could have been lights out for me. Let alone crossing over a four lane road without hitting or being hit by another car.
Anyways I think I am going to get some sleep. yes I do have pictures. I will upload soon this morning. Its wierd seeing all of these accidents threads and now it happened to me. When I stopped I had to sit there for a second and think if it was real or a dream.

Well thats my story, like I said, pictures coming soon.

And I will keep you updated on the car, and the ladies lawn.

one word: WOW.
Firstly, glad you are still alive and moving.
second, You shouldn't even be driving until you are fully awake. Scientists say that if you feel sleepy on the road, pull over and take a 20minute nap then continue.
I hope at least your seatbelt was on. When my accident happened (just two days ago ahah) i remember the first thing I thought of was "is this a fking dream?". too bad it wasn't.
So what's happenign to the car now? judging by the story, the car needs a major rebuild.
Lastly, glad you are still alive and moving.

Glad you're ok, sables are tanks they can take some abuse. At least you're ok though, this doesn't much help your case for getting a sporty car though

sables were made that way cause old people usually do the same thing/ or just suck at driving so they make the cars tanks. but seriously, glad your ok man. ive fallen asleep once and it was seriously for a split second thank god. but when i woke up i seriously slapped myself. hope everything goes well.

and whats up with the cl? hes afraid of the tranny blowing? any signs that its going to or are you just basing it off everyone elses blowing?

Alright, the pics.

On the right where the street sign is that is the sign that took off my drivers side mirror. ANd thats the telephone pole that could have killed me. I woke up right after I went off the curb and was awake when I hit this one and went between the signs.

Another, those are the hedges and what not I hit.

That limb was on top of my car until the tow truck tugged the car out...

Some broken limbs.

The rim. Jacked up. I couldnt find the hub cap or the mirror. All I found was the glass part to the mirror.

The other with the wierd indent in the tire.

The front. looks like I went offroading

On the truck driving away.

Im about to sneak out with the ACk to go record a vid of the path I took and take better pictures.

Damn dude! GOD is defiantly looking over you and that cl cuz nether of you were hurt! Wow, glad your ok bro. It would have sucked never seeing your posts again..
But dude, you have to wear a seat belt. I was like that too. I never wore a helmet when I had my bike and sure enough, I was racing down a hill, lost control and bang, smacked my head on the curb. Blacked out for a minute and when I got up, there was a huge crack on the right side of the helmet. Thank GOD I decided to wear a helmet that day. I can't say much about not wearing a seat belt. It has just become muscle memory to put it on when I turn on the car. Safety FTW!

Alright just took more shots. No i didnt really look very hard. I want to though. For that and the hub cap. I probly will when its not raining. I cant post the pics up now because Im going to the hospital. My gma is there and getting this port put into her chest because her kidneys arent working right and she has to get her blood cleaned 3 times a week for 3 hours through this port. SO when i get back ill post up the pics. you can see my tire marks right when I went over the first curb in teh gravel. My right front tire went over a sewer thing. Which is liek 4 inches higher than the curb my left tires hit. But the left were worse. Sucks all this bad stuff is happening. The wierdest part is that I kept misplacing things. IN my car. And I told my gf that something wierd is going on. Then this. Guess I was right. And the new pics are way better. No new ones of the car however. Dont kno the location of the place they took it.

Ill post the new pics up later.

And thanks everyone for the concerns. I always wear my seatbelt in the winter but when its nice out I like being relaxed.

ill be back later

Say a prayer and never, ever, get in a car again without a seatbelt.

I've seen too many of my friends fall asleep at the wheel now and get into a wrecks. My buddy just lost his license for a year because he flipped his truck after falling asleep. Then on Sunday, my other friend flipped his grand prix after he fell asleep. I just drove up to Cleveland to see him. He's still in ICU and it scared the hell out of me to see him laying there.

And then theres my brother who broke his neck after flipping an SRT-4 going triple digits.

Morale of the story, be careful and pay attention. Freak stuff happens, pray for your life.

I Know, its very careless to not buckle up. The only exterior damage is the wheels, a small half dollar sized dent in the hood and the drivers side mirror. Ill find out tomorrow if something is wrong under/inside.

well instead of starting a new thread just yet. (ill wait for it to actually happen). I guess my dad decided to buy my mom another new car. she isnt satisfied with the 05 sonotas gas mileage (v6) compared to the 04 civic my brother now drives. So she is either getting an 05 CRV or an 05 Accord (both 4cyl) I guess its happening today. And my dad will be driving the sonota, and i guess i will drive the Sequoia haha. But my mom really likes the new scion TCs. ahha. ANd thad be sweet. I think those are pretty sweet lookin. Id drive it out not the Sequoia, thats for certain.

Wow...thank God you are alive, always wear a seat belt even if its a short drive, before i even start the car, I have the belt on, it has become second nature. Your dad reminds me of my dad. We have 3 toyotas, 97 Avalon, 99 Toyota Camry (my first car, now my brothers), and a 2000 Sienna. Its funny all these cars have the exact same engine, V6 3000 Cam 24, hahah. I on the other have a 2003 Acura CL-P, hehe. Acura FTW!!!!

Hang in there bro, you are only 19, I did not get my first car till I was 21 and it was a 1999 Toyota Camry LE. I did not get the Acura till December of 07, but I always loved the CL especially since one of my best friends had an 01 SMR CLS, that car is now his dad's, and he drives an 07 NBP TL-S, damn him! lol. I say save up some money, suck it up, show your dad you deserve to drive.

Def be on the lookout for a 6 speed CLS, hopefully by the time you rake in enough dough, they will be within your price range, and things with your parents will be cool. Patience man, I'm sure you will be in the Acura family in no time.

Damn...I'm not sure how cool you are with you parents but try this:

Try to have the car put under your dad's name , and have your insurance under his name provided your driving record is not that bad and pay your dad monthly and pay the loan monthly. Possibly get him to do the loan and you pay him, it might help lower your costs. However, since your dad saw your driving fast in your previous CL , this car is going to even worse, lol 6 gears and 260 hp, good luck with that. It takes time, make sure you are cool with your dad because he can def make things easier for you , trust me (first hand experince). I hope the best for you and that car is sick, hope to see you in the second gen forums, haha.
