35watt..55w in a halogen housing is just asking to get flashed from on coming traffic, not to mention the added heat from the 55w version may discolor the chrome..

i read about 55w kits possibly having issues unless you buy an extra harness that hooks up to the battery. go with the 35w kit.

yea 35 watt ones. Just be sure to do some research before you buy. I have always been a customer of gatehid on ebay or maybe it's hidgate either way they are like 55 shipped with a 2 year warranty

What kits are the kids using these days? No way I'm paying for a Keixen kit or what ever those are for a few hundred.

Don't do that, you'll end up with upside down headlights!

Yeah, I know... Fortunately, I only asked him the same question I asked you. And I got the same answer, so I'm cool with it. No more asking Fred headlight questions though, since it'll be all execution from here.

And he's better than a guy on one of the audio forums I'm on. He did a Bi-Xenon retro, and somehow switched the high and low beams... Then he got deployed to Iraq, so he couldn't fix it... Sucked to be his wife, since she couldn't get it to pass inspection with the headlights backwards, and therefore couldn't drive anywhere...

Plug n play's are about 150 w/ 1yr warranty. But for me, i rather spend a lil bit more just go straight to projectors soo much better.

^^ Thanks - Might have to look into that.
I thought all projectors were custom made? Even for a few hundred, I dont' have the time or knowledge to do it.

Just looked - 55 Shipped, how do these compare to the DDM kits? Anyone have these in their first gen CL's? Are the 5000k any brighter than a standard halogen? This is more of a practical upgrade than for looks, if it truely is brighter than I'll pull the trigger.

They're brighter but definitely throw out more glare. You'll probably need to adjust your lights down to compensate.

Also, you might have a different experience, but I blew 3 of those kits before I went back to regular halogens. 1 of the kits was blown because my alarm went off and fried the ballast from being switched on and off repeatedly.
