Help need to take the door panel off!

I need to take the door panel off to fix my heated mirrior button, I tried to take it off yesterday but could not.

I unscrewed 3 or 4 screws and the handle would still not come off.I don't want to pry it because I am scared of damaging the panel.

Can someone please post up a how to or a pdf from the helms manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

theres a screw right below the door handel.. it has a plastic piece covering it and the screw itself is about 2 inches deep in the door...mabey u didnt see this 1..all the other 1's are pretty easy to find i believe..after all the screws are out u can start from the bottom and separate the panel from the body..remember to disconnect the wires for mirrors locks ect so u do not accidentally rim em out

:imwithstupid:

those are my instructions on klepto's site

here ya go, if you dont want to click on the link

2. To take off the door, you must first roll down the window first. Next take the sil piece off the inside where the mirror is located, it should look something like this:

Now start to remove the screws in the door handle, the side of the interior handle and on the inside of the handle there is a screw with a cover over it. Note: on the passenger side, there are 3 screws that are same as the above but there is one for the power windows on the passenger side and not the driver side.

Once the screws are removed then begin to take apart the door. The handle needs to be taken off at an angle and the power locks have a harness hooked up to it that you need to disconnect in order to take off the plastic guard

Next you have to pull on the door panel to make the panel lose from the door. Upon disconnecting the door there should be a harness for the door light, for the security light (only on driver side), harness for the power mirrors (only on driver side) and the one for the power windows. I would disconnect the door light and the security light before removing the door since the harness for them are quite short. You can do this when you loosen the panel and reach up from underneath the door. Now you can remove the panel for the door, you should have to take it off at an angle as well as put it back on at an angle. Make sure when you remove the panel you should still have to disconnect the harness for the power windows. When it is removed I would then check to make sure your interior lining for the door is all intact and still taped to the door, mine was not and I had to re-tape it in some areas.

To take off the trim piece for the door there should be about 4-5 screws that hold it in on the inside on the panel. Remove these screws and the piece should come right off.

WHEN DOING THESE PIECES MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THEM WELL AND ENTIRELY WITH THE RUBBING ALCOHOL, TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NO DIRT THAT WOULD OBSTRUCT THE VINYL FROM STICKING TO THE TRIM.
