Header Install ???

Hi Guys,

I just bought a JVT header off of ebay and was woundering if there is a DIY for the install. I know it is a simple install but am kind of worried about the rusty bolts that hold the old header. I am scared that I might break the old bolts, any one faced with this issue?? or is there a way this can be done safely without breaking the old rusty bolts???

I know there have been post on not using the gasket that comes with the kit, then waht gasket should i use OEM??? and get raped by the dealer or just get a Honda oem as the header that i bought is for a 94-97 accord ex.

here is link to the header that i bought....

All your feedbacks are welcome .

Thankx

soak the bolts in PB blaster or WD-40. It will allow you to break the bolts easier

Our engine actually use nuts instead of bolts to hold on the manifold. Soak the nuts with penetrating oil several hours before working on it.Use the right socket and pay close attention not to strip the nuts. Using a crisscross pattern (starting from the center), remove the exhaust manifold-to-cylinder head nuts, the manifold and the gaskets (discard them).Use a putty knife or similar tool to clean the gasket mounting surfaces. Take your time and be careful and you wont have a problem.

Sorry if I sound like a noob, but I've never heard of JVT Racing headers before

So are these comparable to the DC Sports & OBX Racing headers (and Megan Racing before Klepto had that bad experience)?

I'm seriously looking into getting headers, and am leaning into the OBX.

Anyone want to chime in?

if your OEM header is cracked etc, the cheapest megan or OBX will do. If you're looking for performance, forget it, unless you go custom...not worth it.
