Question Halogen lights

I want those bright nice crisp blue lights for my 97 2.2 cl, is it just a bulb i have to install or a whole new light fixture to get that?

did you want to do a HID conversion? or did you just want some good bulbs, thats 2 different storys on cost alot more then the other

^^ Yeah, there's two way to do it. HID and just changing the bulb. HID costs at least ten times more.

I just got some Sylvania Silverstars a few weeks ago. They run about $34 bucks for a pack of 2 front bulbs. They give a white halogen look, if maybe you would want to do that. They also work good and are not just cosmetic. Im sure there are other bulbs out there that give a blueish tint to it.

Thanks man, i seen those at Canadian Tire....

So how do i installs these, once again excuse my ignorance!

It's Pretty simple. I bought some for my previous Jetta and put them in. All you have to do is pull aout the old bulbs and stick in these new ones. Easy By the way, these are great bulbs for the price. Obvoiusly, just try not to touch the bulb with bare fingers.

i mean, how do i remove headlight cover etc, to get at the bulb, does it just pop off?

You have to pop the hood and come at it from the back of the housing. I just looked at mine( 1998 CL 2.3) and they are literally right behind the lights under the hood. Should just be unclipped by hand. Easy

I'd say get Nokya bulbs for 15.00 or if you wanna be cool like me get HID's for 300.00
