H22A Type S

anyone have a swap with this? I was talkin to my friend that has a 92 Prelude....and he was going to swap in a h22a or maybe a h22a type s....the type s has 20 more HP, and some more torque.....i was curious to see if anyone has a h22a type s in their CL? Since the h22a seems to be a "cool" swap....

I hear that the type s has more hp, but it is also much much more expensive, and is much harder to find also.

Total waste of money. For the extra cash you spend to buy the type s swap you can upgrade an h22 to out perform it in every way possible for less money. If you plan on going turbo then really stay away from the type s engine since its 11.1 compresion won't go with boost. Some of the part off the swap or nice to have though. On my h22a4 I used the .025 oversize jdm type s pistons to raise my compression to 11.1. Since the cylinders are cast you can use them on the h22 block and not have to resleeve the block due to the FRM lining.

IMO stay away for the type s engine and use the money else where.

^^My CL isn't even a stick....But I was thinking about converting it....but I might just sell it, and buy a 5-speed black 2.2CL.....and just work with that......

You could do an auto h22a swap. It would fit perfectly into your car and they are vheaper since there is less demand for them.
