h22 vs 3.0 on the juice
What Has More Potential A Juiced(nos) 3.0 With Bolt Ons,or A H22 Turbo With Bolt Ons I Searched But Came Up Short.the H22 Turbo Seems Like Its More Problems Than Its Worth (read Some Of The Horror Stories On Boosted/non Boosted H22).i Know Its Easier To Just Throw Some Nitrous On A 3.0 But There Is More Options To Build An H22 Internals Up What About A 3.0 Internals? What Is Better For The Car? Wasn't Gonna Do Any Real Motor Work On This Car Except I/e/h But Now I Kinda Want More Power!! If I Throw A 100 Shot In How Fast Will That Wear Out My Motor Keep In Mind I Have 145,000+ Miles? Is $500 A Good Price For A Used Zex Kit? for those with nos any probs? how often do you shoot? is it worth the $$$ to throw a 100 shot in there?

3.0 will have better acceleration overall and can safely manage a 75 shot with stock fuel components. The only weak link is the transmission. 6-speed swap is way to much money for what it;s worth. Unless you want to be super rare, or wlil never give up your cl and want a stick, then don't do it. Jump in on this Dr. Evil group buy while you can. It's $1000 under regular price right now, and it has better internals, faster shifts, upgraded tq convertor and an LSD to help with launches and cornering.
as for turbo'd h22 with stock internals... just ask xrunner86x how long it took him to blow his h22 with 11psi. I think it was something like 2-4 weeks.

J30 can handle nitrous just fine alot of people run 125+,your planned 100 shot your gonna need injectors and a walbro fuel pump to run it safely unless you stick to 75 shot and you can run that off stock timing and stock fueling. with around 500 bucks you can get a brand new zex kit... just treat the transmission nice and you'll be ok the H22 swap and turbo is good but it takes alot to get there rather then just the bolt on 3.0 stuff, then after the swap comes reliability h22 doesnt have very strong cylinder walls and people usually resleeve your gonna hear alot of "oh my firends blah blah blah blah ran fine ect ect... i been a member over at honda-tech for a long time h22 turbo problems come up sparingly with people stock block running at moderate boost levels agressively. All this being said the J30 isnt an angel either the motor isnt a problem just the tranny but if you watch it you'll be fine proper tranny fluid changes ect.. theres guys over at v6p and dustbuster here who have run consistant low 14 / high 13's with a 75 shot on stock tires... with radials and good traction you can probably break consistant 13's

IMO if a H22 was mod with the same parts as the J30A, i would think the J30 would be a much stronger motor cuz of the larger displacement. but thats just the motor. If anybody ever put a H22 4speed automatic on the CL...i think a stock 3.0 would pull em.

lotta people give the j30 performance the shaft because our aftermaket is a bit more limited then the h22 we can do everything a H22a4 can its just sometimes it takes more searching around for parts and in terms of turbo we would need custom work but turbo J30's have been done

^ i have seen it. someone from v6p.net was selling their custom turbo kit on ebay like 2 years ago. i would think a SC would be better for the J30A, cuz of how heavy the car and motor is. then NOS it when you get to 120mph
