i didnt even think a p72 (GS-R ECU) would work. tell him our ECU would be an Accord EX's, if he isnt familiar with our cars.

 

thats what i thought too.. i thought it was p13 or p28..

 

From everything I'm read, the p28 with the OBD1 ->2 connector should work, but didn't smokinh22CL just have problems with his?

 

if i were you, i would ask on honda tech. you'll get a fast and most likely accurate response. thats where i ask all my tech questions.

 

smokin's p28 worked. but his p13 wasnt working.

Yea ill post on hondatech, see what happens. im just annoyed because i ordered the ECU last monday so i can have it by this friday for my heart transplant.. i hope it comes in time..

my boys old bubble shift light was his ABS light, used to confuse the hell out of people.

 

Shit I see my ABS light all the time, I just dunno about the CEL light, it's kinda there for a greater good

 

I'm running a chipped p06 in my h22 swapped 93 accord. No problems. I got mine from J-K tuning because they were a little cheaper. I would say that the p28 would work with butterflies because that's actually what I ordered but they ran out of the p28s. I have the CEL shift light too. it's so stealth when it comes on at 7800.

OK keith, ur a noob (sorta) so u have to post pictures man.. and a mod list..

 

you definatley need the secondarys to open up. if they dont the engine will bog at vtec. you can use a p28 p72 p13 ecu and it should work, as long as you get the appropriate harness adapter. p13 is ideal, cause it has all the maps needed for the h22... the p28 in stock form will run an h22 but the power band will fall on its face at vtec and will have more hp than the p13. the p72 i think already has the pinout for the secondarys.

SOoo incase pple wanted to buy chipped p28's from Phearable.net. There sendind me a p28 with w/ a h22 basemap, no Iabs and no egr. The fun will start Friday!!

 

The reason that I'm selling the cb7 is that I want to have a stock car for my DD. That would defeat the purpose. In a perfect world, I would keep my cb7 for a weekend car and have the CL as my DD. When you're married, priorities change and money doesn't grow on trees anymore.

Even just living with a chick screws the finances She wanted me to sell the ack, I said hell no, but the modding slowed down quite a bit when I took on a car payment for my DD

 

theres a slight possibly i would entertain the thought of trading my CL to you for the CB7.

 

I broke up with two of my girlfriend's in the past so I can have more money for the car. No GF = best fucking mod eva! (except when you're drunk as shit and looking for anything)

As long as the ECU (P13. P28, P72) is chipped and programed to H22 standards everything will be ok. I wouldnt add the IAB for the extra $$ because you can simply bypass it with a vacuum line. All it does is that it open slightly sooner then with the sensor. A Standard OBDII-OBDI conversion harness should work all the same. I would go P28. Add headers, exhaust, nice clutch, annd a VAFCII and get a mean tune. Ull see your car shoot flames. Im also hearing a fuel pump upgrade would make a huge diff considering our pumps are ment for SOHC.

 

Please Please Please do a manual tensioner conversion!!!! I had my suto tensioner fail twice before I did the conversion. Spend the $120 now before it costs you more later!

 

 

how does the stock tensioner become a problem, and how come the guys with H22 preludes not have to worry about this. i only hear about this problem when people do an H swap in Accord/CL.

if only people were this supportive of me when i first threw in my H22 in 2003. I got a bunch of smart answers together with search you noob. I hated this site at first. You still get your :ghey: drama here n there but it aint that bad.
