good mechanic in north jersey?

I'm looking to get some maintenance done and some parts installed that I ordered. Can any of you guys recommend a good trustworthy mechanic in northern new jersey that I can take the CL to, who won't rip me off on labor charges?

i appreciate the help, guys. I'm looking to get some new shocks (gr2') installed. If I buy them online and bring them to him, he can put them in for me? I have some friends insisting that a shop will refuse to do work on a car unless its their own parts.

That always depends on the shop. I won't go to any shop that won't let me bring my own parts and just pay labor.

if by maintenance you mean Spark plugs + Wires + Cap + Rotor, you can do that yourselves, save the labor $$ for the GR-2 install. Your Spark plugs + Wires + Cap + Rotor are easy to get to if you have a 2.x, it's a bit harder for a 3.0 but the install is not that hard.

He's used to working on aftermarket stuff, it wont be a problem to buy it and bring it in to get done. He did his own S/C's Jseries 6speed swap into his 2nd gen TL w/CLS front seats and dash amongst other great work.

Here's a couple pics of his whip almost completed that i snapped at the last TSV meet i went to

Jae primarily deals with people bringing him aftermarket parts that they bought.

He'll just charge you labor, hes a relatively younger guy (25) but knows his shit.

So I called him up and he seems like a great guy. Quoted me $175 to install 4 new struts/shocks (that I would supply him)

for shits and giggles, I ended up calling the Goodyear that my father goes to for a quote on the same job (except that they required that they supply the parts). Total cost installed? $400 for the fronts, and $390 for the rears

how the HELL do they get away with that?

Ouch, the sad thing is they wouldn't charge that if people didn't pay it

For timing belt, some time back I had posted a good mechanic name is Mehul location is edison and number is 732-287-1966, deal with only honda engines I have alredy gotten mine doen from him and also my friends no worries price was $250/ labor and the parts I picked it up from ebay, they sell timing belt kits there , for after market stuff I guess Jae would be a great guy to go to as per all the recommendations.

Search for my post and you will also find a link to the kit that I boought may be you can contact the seller and see if they can send you one...excellent resouces...
