Good or bad idea??

I posted a thread couple weeks ago about getting a bad wheel alignment which ended up with the car pulling towards the side. The mechanic said was 'cause the tires were bad so I had another mechanic test drove it and he said it's a bad alignment. I took it back the THIRD time to the mechanic who did the alignment and the fukhead said he'll do it again......I have a feeling that it's not going to be any different.

thinking maybe I should just either swallow the $$ I wasted and take the car to firestone or sears and have them do it more professionally or let this jackass mechanic redo the alignment and risk that he might screw up again and make it worse.

if your call pulls to one side, its obviously your alignment. after you get your alignment done at a shop you need to drive in a straight line and take your hand off the wheel and accelerate. if the car is still pulling you need to take the car back to the asshole who did your alignment and stir shit up. you dont pay money to get shit back the way it came in. at least i wouldnt anyway.

It might be your tires if they're "directional". I have some directional toyos and the slightest crown or low spot in the road will make the car pull like crazy. I've had the allignment checked about 3 times and it always checks out. Get your car out on a nice, flat, newly paved road and see if she pulls. When i can find a road like that its heaven because the car goes lazer straight. Last set of directional tires I'll own.

Alignment is almost like an artform, and almost impossible if done on poorly calibrated or heavily used equipment. You may want to take it to a small tire specials with a 4 wheel alingment machine. Their equipment doesn't get abused as much, and they may care a bit more.

Will sears or firestone align a lowered car. I know a lot of places wont touch them because of the liability. Or they will just align then to factory specs and no more.
