Good Audio Suggestions?

I've been trying to convince myself that the Bose "premium" audio in our cars is actually pretty decent, but lately I have been finding that in most music (radio, cd, whatever), the speakers just lack power. My family has two new accords and both come with stock pioneers that really, really shake the windows and sound very nice. I was wondering what are some really nice replacement speakers for our cars. I know that the front uses 6.5" components (thanks tmoth) and the rear is 6x9, right? Would I also need some kind of amp. Brands like infinity and mb quart are going at pretty good prices on ebay and I think this is one upgrade I could really use.

Thanks for reading

The fronts are 6.5" actually. Focal polykevlars are the shiznit! Seriously though, if you have the opportunity to listen to some of the "top" brands I would do that because one persons ears are totally different than anothers...

Also if you plan on upgrading you basically have to upgrade the entire system (well you dont HAVE to) due to the way the bose system is put together... Anything nice for speakers should also be run from a separate amplifier to get the best sound...

you don't need an amp just for speakers. Get the speakers and a good 50x4 deck and it'll power the speakers fine. If you still want more power then get an amp later.

True, but you can't beat the clarity of a good 4ch amp. Makes inexpensive speakers sound expensive. Plus the added heat of the internal amp on the deck will dramaticly reduce the life of the unit and your cds. just my
