get shocked by driver doorlock?

everytime i lock my car from the inside when i get out i get shocked? anyone else have this problem?

the car only runs on 12 volts, so even if there was a positive wire connected directly to the chrome plated plastic switch, you wouldnt get a shock.

Im guessing you have cloth seats and move around quite a bit...

thats what i'm thinking. Static electricity buildup while in the vehicle. I shock myself every once in a while, but i have leather

it might be static, but i swear it happens everytime i unlock my car door and i dont know what the hell u mean by ghetto?, broke my remotes awhile back (in process of replacing),just asked a simple question as far as why you would think this would happen, probably static and it so sad to see these smartass noob douchebags all in the forum, i sure miss the way it was back in the days, thats why i only go to ramblings :shakehead

and btw if u know your cl's u would know 99s only come in leather

There is a motor or some sort of electronic lock attached to those, it may be grounding out. Try takin your door panel off and lookin for loose or exposed wires
