Hi,
I have a 97 CL. The windshield wipers would not turn off. I mean it would turn off when the car is off but it would shut off. I am thinking its the wiper switch. BUt those things are pretty expensive. I will be getting them soon. But for now i am jsut thinking about removing the fuse when its not raining and put it back in when i need to use the wipers.

I looked at the fuse panel under the hood but there is no fuse for the wipers. So i looked at the in car fuse panel (located by where your left feet is when you are driving) but the lid for the fuse box is not there. Maybe there is not supposed to be one..i dont know. But if someone can help me out and tell me where the fuse of the windshield wiper is, please let me know.

 

Did you check the owner's manual? I believe it's tied in with other accessories, like everything else on the car

I dont have the owners manual? DO you guys mind checking it for me and tell me whcih fuse and what it is tied to?? I really need to stop this thing... its driving me crazy, not to mention the embarassment with the wipers going off on a bright sunny day...thnak..

(the manual) i could just imagine how that annoying sound on your winshield sounds like, but i think that you need to get it taken in and see what malfunctioning codes are coming up

The wiper/washer fuse is #6 30A Under the dash for the 97 2.Xs and 3.0s. This fuse is said to be HOT when the ignition switch is in the ON or START position.
