Front Grill

I have a 99 CL. I got a 97 CL grill I want to put on my 99 CL.
Will I be able to put this grill on my 99 with out any problems?
Do I need clips to put the chrome section on? HELP

I've not done this (put a '97 grill on a '99 CL). But when I replaced my '97 grill with a '97 gold kit (plus a new plastic grill), the installation went smooth! I just used all of the screws and nuts from the original grill to install the replacement grill.

Did you buy the black plastic grill in addition to the chrome pieces (logo/wings and trim ring)? I ask this because the '97 chrome pieces won't fit on the '99 black plastic grill.

Let me know if I can help.

It should fit in fine. Just remove the four screw things to remove the whole grill and put the new ones in.

the chrome is molded with the black center... use a flat screw driver to pinch the clip... squeezes right out!

ok hold on... do you have the 97 grille??? it should be the same... the black clips on my grille were molded off the grille (one piece with the grille) I am assuming that both of your grilles follow the same format... If you have the 99 grille out.. slap the 97 grille in... it should have the clips molded in it... snap it in and screw it on!!!
