Flip-up DVD
Flip-up DVD
I want to say that I have searched this website and others and can not find out if this will fit my car. The model that I am looking at is this one, http://reviews.cnet.com/car-video/je...-32400164.html My friend installed the same one on his bonneville and he said that he had to cut some plastic to make it fit, will I have to or will it just slide in? And does anyone have any advice on installing it?
that will fit your car all you need is the installation kit, thought i wouldnt waste my money on a cheap product like that. if you wanna get an in-dash go with something like clarion at the cheaper side but for good quality video play and screen resolution your better off with kenwood or alpine. though those run you over 1400 bucks that jensen is almost 1/3 the price but then you gotta think back to that old saying "you get what you pay for"
i only had mine for about 2 months before it was stolen. get an eclipse. i think they replace it for free if it is stolen. you also have to put a specific cd in it to turn it on if the power has been disconnected. mine was nice while it lasted though. the only thing with the flip up is you have to move it to adjust the temp controlls.

flip outs are great, but id go with a 2DIN flat monitor, the good thing is that they also run you less on the unit itself... AND you dont have to deal with hiding a big brain box in the confines of our cars' small spaces
id recommend Alpine for that, the IVA-W205, easily upgraded to Sat nav when you want to with Blackbird2..... and its still portable so you just pop the blackbird out and take it on the go, like a hike or something. pieced together on eBay and cheaper online retailers you can put this all together for something like 11-1200, while full retail at licensed dealers will run towards 1700 + applicable taxes

that's the reason why I'm going to fiberglass mold a custom 7 inch touch screen w/ integrated carpc into my console. I'm sick of having headunits stolen from my previous cars. If they want to steal the screen....it's going to take them awhile to take out the entire center console (motherboard will also be mounted behind the screen)...but if a thief really wants something...they're going to get it...regardless

^^ yep, exactamundo
I love the fact that the lilliput 7 inch widescreens are a perfect fit for the double din openings, but the whole point of me fiberglassing is to deter theft. It's just wayyyyy to easy for them to steal it without it. Please it gives it a more custom, unified feel imo

Gonna fg the trunk first anyway
Like everyone is saying.. double-din is in.. My friend had a similar jensen in his car like 2 years ago.. Had it for a week, sold it and got an alpine.. Chicks love the DD.. (speaking from experience)

I have a question though.. I know it's off topic and I will search but, can we (1st jeners) have roof monitors even though we have a moon roof?

Get what you pay for, it'll fit, but I'd get a pioneer or an alpine.
