I posted a little over a week ago about my transmission being "jerky" and slipping at times. WELL on friday my engine light comes on... hmm EGR? I went to the dealer to get it checked and you know what the engine light means = NEW TRANSMISSION. Yup this will be tranny #3. I've only got 114 000km on the car. The first tranny went at 80 000km and the warranty for that one expired. Bottom line $3500.00 for a new tranny.

 

aww crap that sux.. my check engine light keeps coming on too.. but i thought it was EGR.. maybe i should get it checked too..

your tranny isnt broken yet right? cant you get a used tranny off a junkyard and have it rebuilt? might be cheaper..

get it rebuilt its muchhhh cheaper.. have them put in stronger pars also

 

are you sure? Take your car to auto zone and have them give you the code that it reads back then look it up on the net. THey might think that if you were willing to buy 2 trannis than youll get a third one. Dont be a sucker do your reasearch just because a dealer is a dealer doesnt mean there not scambuckets. I hope everything works out for you but 3 tranis seems realy strange. mines pushing 160k and works liek a champ. Once I had some slipped and it would shift hard into 2 gear and I changed all the fluids and it was back in order!

 

id try to replace the pressure sensor first.. what was the code for?
